So What happened to Ubuntu?

“Ubuntu” is an ancient African word, meaning “humanity to others”. Ubuntu also means “I am what I am because of who we all are”. Ancient is the operative word here because there is definitely no Ubuntu left on this shithole continent we call Africa.

We all know what’s going on in South Africa and Zim and it does not look pretty. I decided to go look a bit further to see how the rest of our continent is doing. Not great it seems.

In Sudan Churches get looted and about 50000 people get displaced when the army and liberation movement start fighting over an oil rich town (See http://www.cisanewsafrica.org/story.asp?ID=3156)

And although the rest of the world have forgotten about them, Kenyans still fear for their life in the aftermath of their election. Their government seem to follow the same school of problem solving as the South African government. Close down the refugee camps ( in SA you don’t provide them in the first place) and your refugee problem will disappear. (See http://www.cisanewsafrica.org/story.asp?ID=3148 )

But all is not lost - allafrica.com reports that Mozambique is the 50th most peaceful country in the world. They even beat the USA, but I recommend Iceland as the destination of choice. Apparently they are the number one peaceful nation on the planet.
