STORMGARDE
STORMGARDE from Germany, Ruhr area, play melodic metal that compares well to Within Temptation, Nightwish and Evanescence, mixed with a good portion of fast rock. Music fans from different genres appreciate diversified but catchy metal and Sabrinas enormous vocal range.
The band made their first public appearance at the “Rockover Hittorf 2001″ and won the viewers choice award at a hometown newcomer festival the same year. In July 2005, STORMGARDE successfully showcased in front of their biggest metal audience so far at the “Dong Open Air”-Festival (a.o. SKYCLAD and FINNTROLL).
Press rated the free downloadable demo with good to excellent reviews. Metal fans also appreciate the songs, shown by remarkable download figures (over 112.000 downloaded songs until December 2007).
STORMGARDE recorded their debut album “The Answer” in 2006, while mixing took place in 2007. The album title track can be downloaded for free from the website since March 2007. The band is currently looking for label and booking partners. A release date for the album is not scheduled yet.
Influences We have been influenced by many kinds of music genres.
For example: different types of metal, rock and classical arrangements.
In addition, several guitar players, song writers, singers and other musicians are inspiring our music.
